I like my dale for the trails, it does great..Very fast and great handling..The only thing the z has over me is reverse, that didnt matter to me, Everything else I have over the z makes it worth not having reverse.

LMAO!!

Piece of crap?? I can tell you are no more than 15 years old.

zbutcher400,
The Z400 is a better all around quad.
It has a comfy ride, reverse, enough power to satisfy the average rider, there is a huge dealer network to supply your replacement parts and there is an even bigger aftermarket out there to modify it till your wallet's empty.

The Cannondale on the other hand is a handful on tight trails for novice riders, doesn't have reverse, and ofcourse we all know now, there are hardly any dealers left who still fool with the Cannondale quads.

Knowsalot your back? Haven't seen you post in a long time. Isn't your handle a oxymoron since you ride a Cannondale? Those things are the biggest POS's around.

Ok, I have a z400 and my dad has a cannibal. All of you who say the cannondales are crap have no idea what you are talking about. They are both great quads. I prefer the z400 over the cannibal but that is just because I ride the z all of the time. The dale runs strong and pulls hard. It beats me in almost every drag, but that is not what matters. Both do great in the woods. The dale has a bigger tank with better gas mileage and more power. The z has reverse and is a little more comfortable. Both have their positives and negatives, but one thing for sure is that they are both great all around quads.

The Cannondales were/are great machines. Its amazing how quickly people can forget that when they arent included in the latest magazine shootout. Their chief downfall was their complicated but high tech engine. It was built by cannondale, but didnt have adequate time on the test circuit to work all of the bugs out. This led consumers to be even more weary of the daunting 7000+ dollar pricetag for even the entry level cannibal. They are very quick and have some of the best handling charachteristics of any quad ever built.

That said, they are now hard to get parts and service for on a broad basis and dont have any official dealerships offering anything but leftover products with little or no factory or dealership backing.

The z is a better all around bike, for the very reasons pointed out by KNOWSALOT. Guess thats where he earns his name huh!
