Hi,
I recently took my 1996 Quadrunner 250 into the shop for repair after it started smoking and knocking. They said it needed top end rebuild. I went ahead and had that done ($584). First time out it started slipping and smoking. Took it in and said it needed a clutch rebuild and a crankshaft (estimate $1300). Can you buy a rebuilt engine for less than this or is this something I can do myself? Can I purchase an engine online or the parts I would need for this repair. Any help will be appreciated.
