Default stock banshee vs. z400

a buddy of mine has a shee (piped jetted air filter) and my z (piped jetted air filter) will win sometimes and lose sometimes in a drag race, but on the track i will kill him. he has to feather that clutch too much to keep it in the power band.

from my experince i have a friend w/ a 2k3 banshee(heard pipes were worse than earlyier editions) and one has a z400... they were head to head until the z400 maxed 5th gear, and the banshee shifted to 6th,

i'm sure they can hold their own to a point. i like Z's and wouldnt mind having one... but it's banshee all the way. my stock banshee would leave them sitting there. my 250R will do the same - never been close. maybe all the Z riders ive encountered just couldnt race?

Last summer my Z was all stock, my friends dad's shee all stock,

When we drag raced they are pretty much even up until we got through 3 or 4 gears and the shee pulled a little. Usually the shee would win by a little in a 300 ft. drag, but not by much. So I don't see where people are getting a shee will spank it, reading to many mags I guess.

I havn't raced him since I piped my Z since he has passed on (and he didn't die from old age so some of you don't think I was racing an old man) but Im sure the Z will edge it out a hair.

I rode my cousins Banshee before he put the aftermarket pipe on and there was still no comparison to my Z400. I am still glad I have the Z though. The Banshee, especially with the new pipe, is a lot of bike for me.

I have owned both, depends on riders skill and size.

Equal riders and the banshee would win.

- A banshee can be moded a lot easier and cheaper to go fast.
- The Z is a good all around quad. A lot less upkeep/headache. Dump gas in and go.

just my opinion.
