no, i dont know how to check it, but i do know how to change it, which would be your best bet if you havent done it in a while. ive had mine for 3 months (my quadracer) and ive changed the oil 5 times i think. Theres a bolt on the bottom of you engine (on the underside) i think its a 22mm but im not POSITIVE you just loosen that and take it out and there comes the oil, the on the ride side of the engine on the "jug" there is a cap that is black and you unscrew that and put 900ml in (make sure you put the bottom blot back in dooough) then put the cap on, and wala its good to change that often, i do it every 3 tanks or so of gas i run through it, a bottle of it is only like 4 bucks i think, so its CHEAP preventive matinence.
Hope that helps.

It depends on the year. The 85-86 has a bolt u take out on the side of the case and thats how u check it. On the 87-92 there is no way to check it...just make sure u have the right amount in there

I have an 85 Quadracer and I have not seen this "bolt" on either case to check the oil.

ALos, Warm up the quad for about 5 minutes to get the oil warm, it helps drain all of the oil.

Its on the right side near the bottom and up near the front of the motor. The Clymer manual shows it.
