Greetings,

I left a lengthly post under "Buying an ATV" which, when boiled down, asks if anyone has had any experience with the LT-F160. While seemingly invisible on the landscape, it may just be the right thing for my family's light-use "2nd" quad. But I never see anything about it. If anyone out there has experience with one or even an opinion, I would appreciate your comments.

Thanks,

Rod [98 Honda 450ES ...and its yellow]

I have experience on a LT160. I can't race and win against many atv's, but in the woods it will beat both a honda 200 and a Kawasaki 220. It has good handling and acceleration

I used to own a 90’ The only problem I had was with the steering bushings. They were made out of plastic on my machine. I found they wore out early. You can replace them easily, there is only one each side of the machine. I used to grease them before and after I went for a ride if it was wet out and that seemed to help them to last longer.

Other than that I had no problems with that machine and I drove it hard. Just keep fresh oil in it and do all of the scheduled maintenance and I am sure it will last a very long time.
