i just bought dyno jet kit and filter . stage 1 kit . the kit doesnt say anything about jetting with knew filter. do i jet it to what they recommend or jet up or down one size ? does the fliter make diffrance in my jetting ? im new to jetting , any help would be great

 

hey akpoohbear. I also have a Vinson and purchased the dynojet kit and K&N Filter at the same time and as you said it didnt mention any settings for the kit with an aftermarket filter. I emailed dyno jet buy the never responded[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]. Anyway i originally set it up the way dynojet recomended in the manual which is with a dj122 main jet, 3rd needle clip. Finally this weekend i had a chance to play with it some more and i went up one jet size to the dj124. WOW what a difference....noticeable increase in the mid-range acceleration now. THe temp when i jetted up was probably 55 out or so, and i'm sure that had some effect on the increased power with the larger jet...but its running like a champ with that set up. I'll have to wait until spring to see how it runs with that jet and the warmer temps but i beleive it will be fine. So to sum it up, i would recomend trying one jet size up from what they recomend at your elevation... with your aftermarket filter installed...see how it runs. Goodluck!!!
