Default I got a little problem..........

Okay here is the deal.

Right now I'm running a 13 tooth front sprocket on my Z with stock tires. I'm looking at the Razr II's 22 inch. With the sprocket that is on there my geraing with the new tires would be higher than stock with a heavier tire. My paddle tires are 20 inch. I want to keep the lower gearing for the dunes. The 2 options I thought of was to either get a 12 tooth front sprocket or add a tooth to the rear.

My question is, is it hard to change the rear sprocket? Or do you guys have any better advice on this small problem.

Thank you

Well, changing the rear is pretty easy, ait, I am not sure if you can do it without removing the hub, I can't remember without looking at it. i would suggest riding it then dealing with it. I bet the 13 will work good with the 22's.

I heard somewhere that you put a great deal of stress on the chain when you go real small like 12. You may want to ask around and factor that in your decision. JMO

yes a 12 tooth will be very hard on parts. If you want lower gearing go 2 teeth up on the back (about 3 is one in the front)
