Default Z400 plastic

I ride the British enduro champs on my nearly standard Z400. the tracks are really rough but no massive jumps , the problem is my plastic seperates arround the tank and the front to rear joint.EVERY time i race. I use duct tape on the joints to stop this but its not ideal. any ideas from the US ?
also after some good replacement plastic whick is best an how much.??

suzuki makes a nice graphics kit for abot $120 (i dont know how many pounds that is). I would check your plastic make sure it didnt crack. Are you talking about your whole main plastic? or just the little part where the tank is? cause that is a seperate piece. you can get that part in Carbon Fiber for like $60 (again i dont know how to convert $ to pounds. sorry)

I don't have the solution at this time but I wanted to share your misery at the lousy plastics on the KFX and Z400. I have the KFX and the plastic seperates (pops loose) from every joint after one lap on the MX track. Currently my KFX is down to the frame awaiting the gusset kit and powder coat. As I put it back together I planned on working with the plastic a bit. I have some experience with fiberglass and thought I might add some length to the tabs that are supposed to lock the pieces together. I'm cureous if after market plastics are built any better. Another problem I'm having is the seat unlatching on some of my rougher landings. I have seen a few fixes for this in the magazines. Most are a post coming off the bottom of the seat which goes through the frame. A pin locks the whole thing in place. I'll post my modifications on the Kawasaki BB as I complete and test each upgrade. Good luck.

The best way to attach it to make sure it stays is to drill small holes in it and zip tie it together. this will hold it together pretty well. I definietly feel your pain about the crappy plastics.

zip tie trick is the only thing that works , I duct taped mine from the inside and that did'nt last , it sucks having to drill holes in the plastic but it does the trick

yeah zip ties work really good. i took the mudguards off my Z250 and the plastic was really wobbly, then i drilled some holes (make sure you be really careful and dont mess up) and tied some zip ties around the frame.

My brother found a website that makes custom plastic and its not too much. The plastic comes in all kinds of colors. I dont remember what the site was but i will ask him.
