Just to let everyone know, I spoke to a friend of mine that purchased a z250 a week after mine and his rear started locking up and making noises last week. I told him about mine and he is going to take it to the dealer as well. I will keep you posted on the outcome of the quad. I am heading to the dealer tomorrow morning.

 

I put mine up on the jack last night, and there wasn't any grinding. Just a little bit of a rumbling noise, but I think that was normal.

 

I just placed mine on the ground, started it and put it in first gear. Had my foot on the rear brake and gave it a little gas and it knocks just soon as you give it the gas. It sounds like a loose piston or rod.

i checked mine, it sounded fine, sorry man i dont know what the problem is but i hope you find out so you can get it fixed.

 

I should have an answer some time today. I dropped it off this morning and they said it didnt sound right?? I told them it sounded like that the day I got it. Now for the rear brakes locking up I dont have a clue or if its related to this noise problem also.

 

hey raptor owner, i was looking at your pictures and i noticed a blue headlight cover on the Z250. Where did you get it?

 

I made it. I have a vinyl cutter machine at home and cut to fit the lense cover.

 

I bet there is nothing wrong with your rear brakes, bet something inside your case where them beveled gears are, they must not be meshing right and binding causing the rear end to lock up, do let us know what yah find out!
