I have a 1988 230 Quadsport. I need new upper and lower a-arm bushings bearings and seals. I was wondering if anyone found a relativly cheap bushing kit for my quad. My local dealer said it would cost over $400.00 dollars to replace it all.

Thanks in advance

That price has to be bull. dont know about bushings, but remove the bearings, look at the
numbers on them. That tells any bearing maker the size. Then call a bearing maker in your state. Cheapier than OEM by far.

Is that how much it would cost for them to do the work or $400.00 just for the kit.If thats for them to do the work you could take the a-arms off yourself and save money on labor costs. My friend has a 86 230 I just took his off and greased all of the bearings. From what I seen I would not pay that much for a kit.I would not pay that much to have them do all the work.

Ebay has a-arm bearing kits alot cheaper, take your a-arm bearings or bushings out to see if they are bearings or bushings if they are bearings clean them in a parts washer if some are good just grease them n only replace the bad ones,on my 89 lt250s all my bearings were so rusted i had to replace them all and had to bye new pivot arm spacers.Go to www.suzukipartsmonster.com and search your quad there it will show what parts you might need.Let us know how you make out.

Go buy a press over at Harbor Freight and bearings off of eBay and start wrenching. You'll
still be cheaper than that quote from the dealer.
