1989 suzuki quadrunner cam tensioner noise
My cam chain on my 89 suzuki quadrunner 230 e was making a lot of noise so I decided to pull the assembly off and look at the tensioner to see if it was getting stuck and it was. Looks like it was getting scratched up on the slide causing it to stick. Is there a fix for this other than replacing the assembly?
Question : Does the tensioner slide in and out as the chain needs it to due to changes in engine rpms while keeping the chain tight or is it a tensioner where once you set it it shouldn't move unless the guides or chain wear down.
Also is there a fix for the rear parking brake? I've adjusted it by the book many times and it works for a couple rides then it is loose again. Has anyone else had this problem? And how do I fix it?
