I am new to atvs and plan on buying my first one in the spring. I would like to hear from Ozark users. Tell me the pro and cons of your machines.

Thanks

I am mostly interested in an utility atv. Right now I'm thinking the Ozark 250. I want someting for yard and forest work but also be able to play on trails. The Ozark is within my price range.

From what I see, Ozark looks like a good buy. I really like the full floorboards. Nice to have these when going through mud, puddles, and water.....keeps the feet dry.

I'm probably going to get chewed out for this since we're in a Suzuki forum, but I would suggest the Honda Recon. Personal preference just because I've never ridden an Ozark and I'm sure they're just as good, but I can vouch for the Recon. It's actually got quite a peppy little engine for a 250. Plus, you can get the ES version, which has a handlebar-mounted shifter instead of foot, which is really smooth and you can shift if your high-centered in mud or rocks. With a standard foot shifter, there may not be room underneath the shifter to down-shift and give you better torque if your in the situation above. Plus, you've got that Honda reliability that I never seem to shut up about. Just a thought you yellow fans! Don't tear me up too bad!

You made a good point RedGoblin. The recon is a good choice also. The recon isn't as fast as the Ozark but it has stronger bottom-end power. Both are good atvs, just pick what you prefer. I would try and see if you can test both of these four-wheelers and see which one you like better. good luck in making your decision
