I am wondering is a quadsport 230 very good in sand with paddles stock and are they very easy to ride, would i have to do a bunch of mods to make it fun to ride in the sand.
any info will help.

I don't know.I've never been to the dunes.You could easily have fun if you put the lightest paddle tires on it though.

 

I had a Quadsport from new in 86 to 99. I took it to Little Sahara, OK twice. I ran ohtsu knobbies and had no problems. You just can't stop on a uphill, only on flat or the downside. Momentum is the key to the dunes. I usually started off in second and rarely hit 5th due to sand robbing 20-30% of power.
