I took the spark arrester out of the pipe on my 04 Vinson 500, sometimes if you hold it open and let it off it back fires, could this cause damage like blow the flywheel off????

 

No it wont blow the flywheel off.

 

no spark arrestor=forrest fires.and seeing that u are from a large coal producing state thats just more fuel for the fire.i wouldnt do it because the only thing that will increase is the noise.J.M.O

If you ride in an area where there is a high fire danger, put it back on. It doesn't improve performance enough to notice. But you will notice the forrest fire you started.

I took mine out and it was a noticable difference in power.
My HMF pipe I'm getting is gona be even more louder.

04 Vinson 500 wtf is that?If its a hunting fourwheeler I wouldn't do it.

 

How many fires have you heard of caused by a tiny little spark coming from the exhaust. I have a tough enough time starting a fire with matches much less a single spark. I am sure it has happened, otherwise there would be no need, but still, the chances are fairly rare.

Boy its people like you that get trails shut down. it really dident make a power difference it made a noise differance and now you feel like your faster We have a dyno at our shop and it might make 1 hp differance and it takes at least 3 to even notice a differance just to let you know.
