Go for the FCR40mm carb, Hotcams, and a Dyna Ignition and you won't believe the difference.

it is the best all around sport quad on the market right now doesent mean its the best quad. Its not the race quad right off the showroom floof but then again neither are the 450s. The 450 still need improvement to the suspension and are de tuned so no matter how you look at it you need to improve all the quads for racing.

Whats with all this need for speed isn't 70 fast enough? Were are you going to go 120mph? Sure going fast is fun its also a good way to get hurt or kill yourself believe me i have first hand experience!

I have kawi 400 bored to a 463cc from 4-stroke tech. The go fast mods include port and polished head, ct header pipe, k&n filter with pro-design adapter plate, dyna-tech ignition box, and a keihn 39mm carb. If I only had the filter and pipe mods, my next step would be the dyna ignition. It lets the motor rev approx 2000-2500 rpm higher allowing much better hole shots. If you want to beat your buddies z440 though, you got to dish out the mula and get a big bore kit. Then it would be time to get the larger carb to feed the larger motor. Or you could get crazy and contact boondockers at www.boondockers.com and dish out aroun 700.00 for a nitrous setup. You would definately outrun your buddy. Another idea is to wait approx. one month and contact eddie sanders racing and purchase an alcohol carb for about 475.00 bucks. No 440 kit needed! One more thing, about the carb, if you race mx buy the 39mm keihn, if you drag race, buy the 41mm keihn. Want a cheaper route, try running a 13 toothe sprocket up front to gear down. This will probably allow you to pull better 2nd gear starts out of the holeshot on mx races. I race mx in Missouri and occasionally go to the sand dunes to drag race.

Is this all on the standard 400 or do i have to go to the 440 kit as well?

by the way, where is the cheapest place to get these parts for the Z and who will ship to the united kingdom?

Hey, I have a similar set up on my wifes Z. Check my gallery to see photos and mods.
I have FCR39 and Hot Cams Intake and Exhaust, DRZ Base Gasket, LRD Full system. This makes it WAY faster, and all for about $1000.00. I only need to buy the Dyna ignition now.
I got my FCR from Curtis Sparks racing, they jetted it for me. If you tell us your elevation and mods, we can help you get her jetted.
Good Luck
