how can i set the idle on a 87 lt230 quadsport, it seems the carb wont close all the way.

 

The cable should adjust, to give the thottle some slack, so it can close all the way. Is the slide return spring, in tha carb binding or installed wrong? Is the slide in the bore, dirty or tight?
Otherwise check the idle mixture screw, for proper adjustment, or the enrichener(choke) may not be shutting totally off or float hieght, could cause that.

 

yea thanks, the thing is stuck at like 1/4 throttle, i do not want to shift= instant wheelie.
