Default Z400 Reliability

I am considering the purchase of 2004 Suzuki Z400 and was wondering what the track record of reliability was. I realize that they have only been on the market for a couple of years, but any input would be greatly appreciated.

I havent really had any trouble with mine. I know that there used to be problems with the axle bending or breaking (was weak for very hard riders) and the frame cracking or breaking, but that was only on the early Z400's when they 1st came out, those problems were fixed and are deffently corrected on the 2004's. I do know that, and I really havent heard anything else negative about the Z.

I appreciate your input, it will be considered. I am just trying to finalize my decision between the z400 and the Raptor. I know to two machines have some cosiderable differences, but I hear much better things about the Suzuki, I'm hoping I make the right choice and am not disapointed.

I have not had any probs with mine as far as stock reliability , chain adjusting sucks and switching to reserve at a 1/4 tank gets frustrating.
All and all I would'nt trade mine for anything .

between a z and a raptor, i would choose a z hands down. The rappy is rather tippy and doesnt show its 260ccs of more power until higher rpms, i can stick with one until top of fourth gear.
and i third that i wouldnt trade my z for anything
