Z400?
I'm happy with my KXF and have no plans to buy one of the new 450's. Reverse is too important for my riding areas.
The YZF and TRX remind me of back in '85 when the original Quadracer and Quad Sport were released. I wanted a Quadracer but knew a Quad Sport would be better for my type of riding. I finally did get my Quadracer but it isn't going to be used for a day to day ride, just for when I feel in the mood.

if your gonna go 450 hit up the yamaha. its RPMs push up into 11,000 or higher. I was reading in dirt wheels about them both and the yamy is supposed to have more high RPM horsepower where as the TRX has more low end power. When your really ripping do you spend most of your time in the lower or higher end of a gear? Thats my 2 cents on that one. I am a Yamaha fan too, Owned em since 1st grade and yet to let me down.

Yah I do some serious riding everyday. Up to 30 miles a day with my friends. And I haven't bent my axle yet which is still stock. And my friends warrior has a T-4 Procirut pipe on it. And I still beat him about two quad lengths. Do any of you know how much a Z gets per gallon of fuel? Mine gets pretty good but I think I am gonna buy a bigger tank. And does anybody know what would win in a race a Z or a Predator 500? My friend is thinking about selling his warrior and getting a Pred. I guess he is sick of losing in races

If all you are going to do is race MX, then the YFZ or TRX are probably your best bet. For all around riding the TRX is the worst, first gear too high, no electric start or reverse. The Yamaha at least has electric start, but the Z is so user friendly, it is really a great bike, and with a few mods, will hang right there with the YFZ and TRX. Even the weight is right in there. They jump great, and handle. So far we have a lone star axle, CDI, Yoshi slip-on, Maxxi Razrs, nerfs, Yosh bumper, Yosh racing graphics decals, Renthal bars.
Next is A-arms and front shocks to go with them. This is one fantastic quad.

I just sold my Predator to buy the 450r. I have several friends that ride z400's and all of them love them, but they are not nearly as quick as a Predator. I really don't know if the 450r will be any faster in straight line than a Predator either, but I do think it will be a faster quad in the woods. I don't think you could go wrong with any of these quads, they are all great!!
Isn't terrible that we such difficult decisions to make. Just a few years ago your choice was either a 400ex or find a good used quad.
