Hey Don, Just push on the center of those plastic rivets, and they'll pop open for you. Another tip on oil filters for your eiger, just find yourself a auto parts that carries wix filters. They make filters for most quads at about half the price of the dealers. regor

Hi Don, the next time you are at the dealer get yourself a few extra little plastic rivets. They cost about $1.40 ea. (why???). The next time I'm going to try the Honda ones, about.50 cents ea. I've hit sticks that would have ripped my plastics but these little sacrificial dudes did their job.

Do you have any ideas on something better than those plastic rivets? Makes maintenance/cleaning a pain in the a$$. I have about 5 or 6 on each side because of this. Haven't come up with anything better yet.

Muddyeiger,
I wish there was a better rivet. These are sacrificial to save your plastics but I know the Prairie 360 doesn't use them, they use screws but their plastic seems thicker.
I find these rivets to be pretty easy to remove but after a few times they lose their effectiveness. I've looked all over for an alternative besides screws and the only thing close is Honda. I bought a dozen last fall and they are gone and i'm missing a couple now.
I'm thinking about using a piece of rubber for a nut and run a screw thru the plastic into the rubber. This is sorta like the screw setup on the racks.

That's not a bad idea, better than what I was thinking.
