I hate to tell you this but there is no trick, More than likely you'll have to heat it up and beat it out. get yourself an old long extension for a ratchet and a heavy hammer lots of break free , oil, etc and just start banging away. I replaced mine last year when I had to remove my motor on a 1990 and it just took a lot of elbow grease. I will give you one word of advice though. When you put it back toghether , use a bushing instead of the bearings. in the back of ATV, action and Dirt Wheels look for Richards bushings he is agreat guy and there cheaper than replacing all the bearings and seals, and they last just as long . I used them in my Lt250 and nt only do they work well you dont have to worry about your pivot bolt seizing in there ever again! The swingarm from a 1987-1990 will fit your bike so if you can find one use that instead there stronger and easier to find, and dont crack half as much as the 95-86 arm. Hope this helps you.

I wouldnt cut the bolt itself as it runs at least 40 bucks. Jake pretty much said it. I used tons of WD-40 and one guy hammering and another on the other end with a ratchet. Make sure you thread the nut on the end of the bolt a few times so you dont Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word er it up. More than likely the spaces will be turning with the bolt once you loosen it up a bit. Take a flathead and pry them carefully and relube to break them loose.

haha...i had the exact same problem last night. We took the nut off the right side, and put a socket on the other end and turned it a few times. You may not think its gonna move, but believe me, it takes a lot of strength to get it to turn. After we broke it loose, we tapped it out. We also sprayed some PB Blaster on it so that also helped.

Good luck with the WD-40 and a hammer............ I had two sawzall mine to get it out. Dont worry about damageing the bolt if it's seize there's no way around tearing it up, a new one will run about 35.00.........my sanaty is worth more than that sitting there banging the !@#t out of it. Good luck..............

ok, heres what u have to do, if u want to do it correctly. First take every thing off the swing arm shock and all. unthread the nut for the pivot bolt. put the bike up on a lift or jack on the frame not the swing arm. Have a buddy apply pressure on the bottom of the swing arm on the pivot points pushing up and hit the bolt out with the end of a wooden hammer handle, so u dont screw up the threads on the end of the bolt. once the bolt is through the hole and u cant hit it with the handle anymore, then use a long small punch to drive it the rest of the way out. the key thing is to keep the weight pressure off the bolt by not letting the swingarm hang on it. u can use heat if need be. hope this helps
