Default After torqueing bolt I can't get the cotter pin hole lined up?

If I torque the bolt that holds the hub on my 03 Z400 quad I can't get the cotter pin in because teh hole is not lined up with the nut correctly, what can I do?

Tighten the nut good and tight, then back it off till a hole alligns with it. As long as the pin is the right size even if it does loosen a bit, it won't allow the nut to slack off to the point the hub gets wobbly.
