zaskar... I put the Superwinch ATV 2000 winch on my 2000 Quadrunner. I bought the mounting bracket from Suzuki, and it fit perfect. I didnt have to change the position of the skid plate at all. I did have to remove it to mount the bracket, but the skid plate bolted right back to where it was originally.

r34,
Does your winch sit back inside the bumper or does it hang down below the bumper like in the Suzuki quadrunner brochure? I think I may try to find the mount kit shown in the brochure because it looks like I won't have to move the bumper and skid plate forward.
Thanks for the info,
Rob

zaskar... no, the winch itself sits back behind the bumper. The fairlead part of the mount does stick out a little farther than the bumper, only about an inch. The reason that I bought the one from Suzuki, was that it was built specifically for the Quadrunner/Quadmaster. There was no cutting, prying, bending or in your case, moving... involved in the installation. It was'nt cheap, I paid $125.00 cdn for it, although it will be cheaper for you in the U.S. Part #99950-64425

Bought a new Quad Master last week...so far so good. Great machine!! Haven't had the chance to ride it on steep terrain yet, but I hope it handles it well. If anyone has tested on steep terrain, reply back with results.

drh19, still lovin it? I am thinking of getting one. Other than the short seat I can't find fault with it. Have you done much trail riding with it, 30+ miles in a day? If so, how's the ride? Tx

Where in SC are ya? I am part of a group that lives around the Greenville/Spartanburg area. We ride as much as we can and frequently go on trips together. Wondering if you were close enough to want to join us sometimes.

I have done some insane climbs with mine. My parents have a 2000 Sportsman 500 and I can say it will out climb it. Not because of traction but because of stability. I can't believe the angles this thing will handle. I wish it had true 4WD though.
I agree about the short seat. It would be nice to have more room for both doubles riding and for extreme situations. I like the weight difference compared to the Sportsman. It definitely feels like it responds quicker.
I just got back from a ride in six or seven inches of snow and the thing is a beast.
I would like to hear from someone who has the Suzuki winch mount kit on theirs. Does it ever plow into the ground when doing steep angles? I have the M.U.D. mount kit but I haven't installed it yet. If anyone wants to buy it I will probably sell it.

Once again, does anyone know of a metal grill that is available?

Thanks,
Rob
