i just picked up a suzuki 250 quadracer for $200 and i got a new carburator and silencer and when i put on the carb i notcied there wasnt any reeds?? this machine is supposed to have reeds right?? i need some help please

 

yeah man most definenately a LT250R is supposed to have reeds. and i'm wondering if you only got it for $200 what else might be wrong with it.

Oh yeah if your gonna get reeds get Boyesen or FMF, or if it doesn't have the whole reed cage just go with VForce or maybe you can get one of those Pyramid reed cages with reeds off of Duncan Racing.

this ones an 86 and out of the engine it has the rubber piece that hooks on the carb and then to the jug and i didnt know if the reeds are in the jug somehow or what?? cause it runs and everything.. if there was no reeds it wouldnt run right??

 

Well, what year did you get. 85/86 has reeds under the cylinder. 87-92 have reeds after the carb

 

yeah im almost positive that its an 86 so the reeds must be under the cylinder like you said.. thanks alot man
