Eiger and hot grips
#1
In the process of installing hot grips and wondered if any other eiger owners had done this mod, and where you installed the high/low/off toggle switch. I was thinking of installing it on the right side of the 12v outlet but not sure if I have enough depth clearance for the wire connections. Other locations would be on the body plastic under the dash in front of the gas tank. Any replies would be swell. My other installs have been cv boot guards, inline fuel filter and thumb throttle extension. Happy riding.

We put some on P360 Theyre the HOT setup
I put switches in the plastic in front of the gas tank under the speedo. Nice flat spot with lots o room behind it.
I have a horn button on one side and a switch for my back lights on the other.
How bout some pictures of that screaming zonker. I have some at the little camera at the left.
BTW, I'm getting those grips next week. And prolly a set of those mitts, too.

I ended up mounting the switch on the area under the dash, left side plastic flat part. I plugged in the rear wires in the switch before shoving the switch up (thru the hole I drilled) underneath the plastic and then installed the top tightening nut. I tapped into the wiring to the winch, so the grips wont heat up unless the key is in the 'on' position. I soldered and taped all the connections. Now I just need to go riding to check them out. Thanks for your reply.

It's been in the 30's in town with a rain/snow mix thruout the week. Where I've been riding, the temps stay between 10-25 degrees, and the snow has been piling up. The hot grips w/the thumb throttle extender will make the cold riding comfortable. Late.
