Kawasaki doesn't have a quad that could compete in the Pro Class but the KFX400, and they will not sponsor a rider on that bike because it is built by Suzuki.
That was discussed early last year.

Good to see a zuke out front, but look at all those yamahas! I've got a feeling that now suzuki has entered the high performance sport quad arena, that won't happen for very long...hence the Z450?

whats blue and red all over and yellow on top......A GNCC race!!!
lol that was stupid

Congrats to Yokley on his Suzuki - I'm personally glad something other than the YFZ won the 1st GNCC, not because I don't like the YFZ, but I'm tired of reading all the chest beating from ridiculous YFZ owners.
With the new GNCC rules everyone in the Pro class had to dump their 250Rs this year. That combined with the fact that the oldest new Hondas are about a week old makes for a lineup of almost all Yamahas on the front row.
Personally I think it's good for the sport to be phasing out the 250Rs. The 250R has become strictly an aftermarket quad that requires a large "investment" for a racer who wants to be competitive. Also, when the top racers are riding quads built strictly by the aftermarket, it gives the manufacturers little reason to want to be involved in racing - which in turn means that we get BNG every year instead of enjoying yearly updates like the dirtbikes do...
Over the course of the next few months, we'll see more Honda's showing up at various racetracks, but it may not be until next season before you see many of them on the pro line at the GNCCs. It's too bad Honda didn't get their quad out sooner.
It's a great time for the sport. It'll be interesting to see what Kaw and Suzuki do to compete with the new breed of 450's out there.
