Default ct exhaust question

has anyone bought the ct pipe kit for the z400, if so what did you think about it and did the jets supplied with the kit work ok?

Default ct exhaust question

Ok here it is I have the ct pipe and to be honest I also have a dyno machine at the place I work I dident get the #S they claimed and the pipe is falling apart. I do mx it and im hard on the machine but I also do all the proper maintance usually even if it doesent need it. I was impressed with the power increase but it wasent what the magizines claimed as for the sound It is quiet which is what I really wanted in a pipe we have ordered many of these systems and im the only one that had the end cap fall off and the packing also blew out the first week but like I said im the only one out of about 20 we have sold that has had this issue so dont make this be your deciding factor. It brought me about 4 hp to the wheels through the whole power curve, and again it is quiet not as quiet as stock but queit(pending the end cap doesent fall off). But I looked long and hard at all the pipes on the market and work at a dealership and was happy for the most part about the pipe and like the fact that it is tunable so when I did the 440 kit and head work I could change it to accomadate for the power differacne.

I have the pipe from the shoot out and it did give me the same kind of numbers that were posted . As far as end caps coming off well if you do a lot of jumping and hard riding then yes it will come off . For 72 cents you can get bigger hex head screws for it and leave the packing out and you have a much better sounding pipe and more performance then most pipes out there , I have tried the PC and WB pipes and noticed the most diff from the 3 at the dunes dragging , other then that I did'nt notice much diff between the 3 . I can tell you that 2 weeks ago I did blow away to Z's with HMF's at Dumont. Its a good pipe IMO

leave the packing out? that doesent make any sence its going to be loud and lose power that way. as for the 72 censt for the screws they will fall out to im gonna get the new ones from ct and loctite them in and see if this works, It just sucks spending 60 dollars because your end cap fell off and you lost it ina mx race at a national race where decibles count.
