Hi,

Im new to the forum and noticed there were alot of knowledgeable peeps here so here it goes..I have a 85 LT250R what year model swingarms will work on this frame? and I have access to a 99RM250 engine anyone know how hard it would be to swap it? and what plastic will work? like a 90 model? or from a lt500? or lt230?

85&86 swingarms will work. anything older has a different style axle carrier. The difficuty in swapping the engine would depend on your abilities to cut and weld, becasue thats what youll be doing. And as fas as i know the plastic is the same from 85-92, but 230's and 500's wont work.

 

The swingarms for all LTs will interchange but I don't think the suspension linkage and axle carriers will, so you might need to swap the entire rear end. As far as the engine swap goes, Justin should be here soon.
