1st gear out

I was curious why my 1st gear is out on my 85' lt250.Does anyone know why and what it takes to fix? Any help would be great.Thanx guys.

Its a 85'LT-250 R Suzuki.

can you still start out in second?

Yeah no problem starting in 2nd.The rest of the gears seem fine.Just downshifts to neutral.

If 2nd gear still works, you've likely got a stipped gear. The shift fork stiil moves te gear to 2nd so its not that.

Get ripping it apart to know for sure.
