Hello,
I have a couple questions about registration. I live in RI. I bought my Z400 in NH so i would not have to pay Sales Tax. Now if i want to ride in MASS i have to register my bike. Do i have to pay sales tax to Mass? How much is it to register in MASS?

Thanks,
Rafiki

40$ in mass, not worth it i only got it so if i ride on unoficial trails, they can,t get me for un regestered.i belive that when u reg in this state u need a form that states that sales tax was paid.i checked www.mass.gov and type in atv in the search bar i could not find anything specific to answer to your question.sales tax is 5% in mass.

So you have an ATv and you ride in MASS without registration? Do the cops ever bother you?
Someone told me the DEM ride around and bust people is that true?

Thanks,
Rafiki

The reg is $40 and you need proof that you paid sales tax, somewhere. If not, when you register, they will want you to pay the tax (5%). As far as not registering, if you feel like taking your chances, do it. Both the DEM and police can stop you, no matter where you ride.

You guys need to move to Indiana. With registration you can ride on any county road and the right of way on most state roads. Of course some counties limit this but in the SE part where I am its RIDE FREE!! ( well, its $30 fee for 3 years ).

You should make a trip out to western mass since your registered there anyway. Got 5 legal places to ride. Mud, Rock, sport quad friendly trails. Pick what you like and there is a place to ride.
