I have had my King Quad since June of 97,Bought it new.The only problem i have had with it is a seal inside the pull starter housing was bad and it leaked a little oil.I took it to the dealer and it was taken care of under the warrenty.They said the seal was not installed correctly at the factory.I have ridden all kinds of terrain , some mud and water when needed and havent had any kind of trouble with my quad.I have put about twelve hundred miles or so on it.I do change the oil every 300 miles and the front diff every 600.I do what the manual says, i dont want to be left stranded.I am happy with the King Quad.It may not be a speed machine,but it will take you any place you got the guts to go.Enjoy your new quad and be safe...Bob

Good grief! 57MPH! Don't let that rumor get out. The Polaris Sportsman 500 will start trading their machines in and the price of 160's will go up.

BTW why do King Quads only do 46MPH?

I've had my 00 KingQuad up to 55 mph. It doesn't have a lot of torque in high gear. Slows down to 50 on a grade. But it is capable of 55 on level ground.

Must have had one with a good rev-limiter. We had one and it would only go 45 some I have seen went 46. You must have been on black top and tucked in over the handlebars.

I've had a 250cc and a 280cc KQ,and the 250 did about 43mph,the 280 does about 45 mph.I once had the 280cc doing 70mph on I-75 headed up north.[it was hauling it in the back of my pick-up bed]=====BILL
