I just found out for certain that the rear shock on my LT is dead. I took it to the local shop and they wanted $180 to rebuild it. plus the shaft is aparently bent, so that's an additional $150. Or they said they a new one would cost about $400... It's an old 86 LT250R, it's not a racing quad. just one for fooling around on and having some fun. Anyone have any suggestions on what I could do?
Oh yeah, I'm not sure if the one that is messed up on it is original, this is my first quad I've bought... I looked at the diagram on www.bikebandit.com for what the original should look like, but my isn't adjustable (ie. the other resevour container doesn't exist on the one I have, should it be there?)
any help you guys could offer I'd really appreciate.

I sent my rear shock to get rebuilt and it turns out the shaft needs to be rechromed so it's woulda cost $350 to rebuild it. The 85-86 rear shocks do not have much potential in terms of revalving.
I am instead getting a freshly rebuilt 87-90 rear shocks revalved for my weight. I think it has both adjustable compression and rebound.
