Compare: Lt 250R/LTZ 400
#1
Hello, I have a 87 Lt 250R and I luv it! But I was considering getting a new quad and the z400 looks like a good bike. How does it compare to the 250? Would I be disapointed with the power? If anybody has any had any experience with these bikes let me know
Thanks!
Thanks!

well...i have an 88...with the stuff below as u can see. My friend just got a 2003 KFX400 with a Team Suzuki Yoshi pipe with NO baffles or anything...First impression its loud, but thats the pipe. He now has a stock, but anyways...Yes those things are nice, and im sure they are more reliable because you dont have to replace everything that is worn out right now. His is a start n go type machine. older 2 strokes require more maitence, but they are both VERY fast. I havent got to do a direct comparison, but i can say this...That thing does have a lot of torque, and the suspension is nice and soft. But my LT..gosh it just seems so much faster. I just got back inside from pulling the front end in 3rd and 4th on the road. His, on the road, did not seem like it was gonna pull the front wheels after the bottom of third. But if i had new shocks on mine, i would take mine way over his. Right now with stock suspension, it would be a tough decision. His also seems more top heavy. Mine, i can kick the back around on dry concrete with good turf tamers and it wont even start to tip. And one time, i tried to side wheel it, but i couldnt even get it up on the side. Now, i dont know if its just me being used to my machine or what...but i like my Quadracer...
