Default what happens if..

what happens if..you plug the carb overflow tube,i am sick(literally and figuretivly)of the gas odor.

Default what happens if..

If your carb is dumping that much fuel, something in the carb (probably float level) needs adjustment.

I've got a 64 chevy truck that used to have the gas tank in the cab behind the seat. Now that's some serious gas fumes.

I've got a 68 GMC and a 69 chevy with the same deal. They call it the suicide-tank! at least they never rust!


actually, it was kinda freaky a couple times when I did some crazy dirt-track style driving in the 69 with two wheels on the ground and saw the bedside totally splashed in gas... I've got side exit exhaust on that truck, too. Note to self: Keep truck on 4 wheels.
