Default tires for eiger

Adding tire size will kill acceleration. That is why I'm looking at the EPI spring kit. The spring holds the clutch a lil tighter for more acceleration and quicker throttle response.

My brother said tonight that "I never got stuck with the stock tires, but with these 589s I've been stuck almost every time out!" Of course he was a wimp on the dunflops and tackles holes like a madman now.

My gut feeling is that 589s will harden up my ride and I'm really looking to soften it. The P360 could absorb the added harshness of the 589s but I want to go the other way. Those Holeshot radials look interesting but the money is stupid.

This all brings me back to the Mudlites. The 26" look great but I need all the power I can get so the spring comes back to the picture. This may be the hot setup.

Hey Guys, I've got a few hundred miles on my mud lites (king quad) and they still look like new. I do imagine they will wear faster than the 589's due to the hollow tread blocks,, But they are a lot lighter and cheaper than the 589's and the ride is great,, Made my king quad ride like a whole new machine,,smoooooth. If you quys are concerned about losing power,,Stay with the stock size tire,,That extra 1/2" of ground clearence is gonna make NO difference and you will miss the power. There's my 2 cents JJ

I'm looking at th 26" for the extra tread (more wear? ). Everyone says they ride great, like putting new suspension under er.

I'l prolly go get the Mudlites.

My Tires do excellent on my Eiger, very very great in mud, ditches, and just about anything you put in front of it.

Suzuki587, you know what? My stock dunflops do too. It makes me wonder haw much difference a tire really makes. I can see the ride caracteristics changing tho. This is a very capable machine. They go anywhere.

Tires will have to wait to next season. Just ordered pipe, filter, jet kit, and clutch kit. Can't wait to get it all in!

You will have to post the results!!!!!!!

Go out and run all kinds of tests and time trials while yer waiting on yer stuff so you can compare.

The article about the 5sp E said that it had a top speed of about 50. I know my spedo reads 56-58 on flat ground.

I can't wait much longer on tires, already have 1000 miles and they're looking a lil rough. But I thought all those plugs would act like *****

Tires do make a difference. More tire on the ground(width) equals less weight per square inch of surface area equals less sinking when in mud. The extra grip makes a big difference as well. You can probable fly through a mud hole with stock tires and seem to be doing just as well as if you had agressive tires. There are a lot of situations out there, like having to stop or travel slowly through mud, where the difference is very evident. Just my 2 cents worth.

My partner Dan put 589's on his grizzly, stock size. Man what a difference, he swears it feels like he'e glued to the ground. He throws a rooster tail up in any kind of loose surface. I know there's a hell of a power difference between a grizzly and an eiger, but i'm umpressed by them. Still think the mud lites would be better for my eiger.

My brother and several buddies got the 589s and report the same thing. Stuck to the ground. They have never had any flats on these tires either! They also throw up big rooster tails, but they're full of monster chunks.

regor, I checked out your pics. The xmas tree decoration looks a lil odd under the palm tree.
