Default Eiger backfiring question

I just finished the breakin period for my new Eiger, so I hit the trails today. I had just come down a very steep slope when it cut out at the bottom. After that it wouldn't stay on without giving it some throttle, and it was backfiring badly. I rode back to the truck, (about 10 minutes) and after that it started running fine and had no more problems for the next 20 miles.
I'm guessing it was simply trash in the fuel line and I shouldn't worry about it. Any suggestions on what to look for, or since it is running fine now, do I just forget it?

Go directly and buy an in-line fuel filter. do not pass go. Then pull your carb off and drain the bowl, then blow out your jets. Good luck!

Do you know what size filter fits on the eiger? I've been thinking i should install one myself.

Definitely worth the couple of bucks! I just asked my dealer for an inline filter for the Eiger. He know (from the books) what size the line was.

Default Eiger backfiring question

I went to wally world and got a fram back in the auto section. The hose slipped on no problem. It came with 2 lil pieces of fuel line but they are much thicker than the stuff on atvs, Didn't need them anyway. the lil clamp thingies they supply are too big but it fit pretty tight without em. I think it was about $2.50.
