The LT-F500's dependability rates on the same level as the Honda's, low maintenance, just gas up and go.
The engine, is surprisingly powerful, and takes a pounding. I have never felt a big bore Quad pull as hard as this one does.
It comes with a High/Low range selector, which really comes in handy for mud, and or swampy conditions.
The fenders are big, but they keep you dry, and unfortunately they do come apart.
The front end has a Limited Slip Diff., which provides for easy steering. You can ride all day, without feeling fatigued.
I just turned over 600 miles on mine yesterday, and it's never been back to the shop, except for the first service.
If your looking for a Quad that will last for years, you'll find this one at the top of the scale with the best of them.

I agree, the machine is a beast. Plenty of power, pretty fast for a big machine and no problems on mine either. I also just turned 600 miles. Yes the fenders come apart, but the holes are slotted to allow this rather that tearing the fenders. Just put them back together. I put 27" blackwater XT's on my machine. Have more that enough power to turn them and no need for a lift or spacers. They fit great on the stock aluminum wheels. The only thing I didn't like was the stock dunlop tires. Thats it, everthing else is great. I think my next tires will be vampires. My buddy has a foreman 450 with 27" vamps and he struggles with enough power to turn them in really deep mud. I know I wont have that problem with the big 500!!

dave00 please tell me more about your Quadrunner. I'm looking at a 99 leftover and want to plow snow with it. Do you plow with yours? Do the Blackwaters rub the fenders? Are you running stock shocks? A lift kit? I tried one out today and loved the reverse procedure compared to my previous 4x4 Big Bear. Any comments would be appreciated.

The blackwaters do not rub the fenders. I have stock shocks and wheels. No lift kit either. I don't have a plow yet. I will before winter. A friend of mine has a plow for his foreman 450 and also runs 27" blackwaters. They do well in the snow. I couldn't be happier with my machine. Lots of power to turn the larger tires.
