hey i would like to know wut would be better a pred 500 or z400 id like a some power and do a lil trail ridin and if there are any problems with tha pred 500 id would appreciate it if u would let me know

 

I raced a couple of piped and jeted predator 500's at the dunes and beat them but not by much.

 

pred has more power stock z has reverse which ever youlike best both great bikes

 

The Predator is also heavier and set up more for MX then trails, and has a lower, firmer ride. The Z leans more towards a Sport/Trail quad and the Predator is more of a MX quad.

 

Ummm... The pred is more trail because of its weight and displacement. The z has been used in the pro mx classes for a few years now with great success. The z is basically a lc, dohc, reverse version of the 400ex, a very capable mx bike. If either is more mx, it would be the z. Both are great on the trails.

 

everyone says that but the 400ex isnt a dohc engine..its also air cooled and its an out dated atv that honda needs to update frame specs between 400ex and z400 are different..so hows it a copy of the ex? and honda came out with the trx 450 instead of a 450ex

 

Read my above post, dont just skim through it and bark at me.
Read, liquid cooled, dohc, reverse. all attributes that I stated the z has that the ex does not. It is a copy because the frame geometry is almost identical.

Honda came out with a 450r because they wanted it to be a race quad. hence the R. EX is for the recreational bikes.

 

Stock the Predator is setup more for the track, Stiffer Susp. Wider and more Power although heavier. LTZ Stock, more for trails soft Susp, reverse and mild power plant. Both quad's are nice and can do both quite well.

If the predator stock is set up for the mx track how comes I don't see any predator at the mx track??? And I see many z400's.

 

I like my pred, havent had ne problems, still trying to dial in the rear shock u have 8 settings. all in all the pred is good.
