Default Should I get it

Well right now i ahve a blaster and im in the need for more speed. My friend just got and 89 suzuki LT 250r it hast a DG p/s bottom just rabuilt with and after market cam, new powerflow head (i think thats what he said) and new weisco piston, good cond holeshots on douglas rims. there are some more stuff but i cant remember. i would post pics but idk how to. O and hes gonna sell it to me for 1400.

Aftermarket cam? Lt 250R for 1400 sounds good. Look the frame over REAL good.

hey take it to a mechanic and have them check the cam for flat spots cause the lts are very tough on the cams. make sure the cam has no flat spots in it...............................[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

Man, if it only had the dual cams!! First thing to do is kick him him in the nuts, then check for cracks in the frame, loose bushings/bearings in the suspension and wheels/axle, make sure it isn't uselss in 4th or 5th gear, and of course, check all the cables and make sure there's no water leaks. If it's physically sound (I imagine the plastic looks kinda bad), then say you can come up with a grand and talk him down from the $1400. If its in good shape (as in, you can ride it for a couple weeks without something breaking), then I'd bet its worth the $1400.........Then, once you get it, kick him in the bag again for good measure, and pretend you're hella smart because you now know 2-strokes don't have camshafts.....

Ok here are the mods i got from him

86 lt250r in mint condition. All parts were replaced with OEM new ones..Brand new cylinder on std bore, Hotrod Crank, Wiseco powerlite piston, all new bearings, all new chassis components, FMF pipe with DG silencer, and Maier Plastics. Cases are polished to mirror finish. Like new. $1500...great deal. and holeshots on douglas rims. I will post a pic if some one can tell me how.

Anybody else? I need more input cause i dont really know that much about the 250r's. I have pics if i can post them.

the year goes from a 89 to an 86 and the price goes up by 100 bucks? and it has a cam?

well the first post i made there were some mistakes. and i the crank and cam mixed up for some reason. It was my fault. Here is the mods from the kid.

be sure to check the frame real good but it sounds like a pretty good deal.
