Airbox lid removed on Z

Airbox lid removed on Z
Has anyone just removed the lid on the airbox? I was wondering if just putting a size or two bigger main jett would be all I need to do. I also took the spark arrestor out of the pipe. I may add a pipe later but I need a little more power now.
