Default Just bought my vinson!

I picked up a new 2004 5-speed,green. And so far I love it. My only gripes so far, is how my back aches after a long ride,( I could barely get out of bed)the plastic rivits, and how it's not as much of a "sports" as it is a utility. I found that out by flipping it over when front wheels caught after I got air. If it doesn't land evenly-watch out! The plastic rivits didn't hold, and the fender pulled apart. I was SO glad thats all that was damaged.I replaced the rivits that flew off with bolts. The oil filter was hard to get to. Again-frickin' rivits. There must be a special tool to remove these(????)-as they are in the way of a few other items I need to get to. Other than that- I am happy with my choice. I took it up to 62 mph-for a second-pretty scary.(gravel) I think I will cruise at around 40-45. I have a 3.0 warn winch that I am reluctant to instal because its is so heavy. I may buy a smaller, lighter winch. What do you guys think?

Your back is going to ache after a long ride if you havent riden in a while no matter what your riding, especialy if you flipped the damn thing. I usualy dont blame machines for flipping over due to rider error, if you learn how to ride before you went for take off than you probably wouldnt have had a problem. Those plastic rivets brake for a reason because if they dont give way than the plastic will krack and that is alot more expencive than a few lost plastic rivets. They are also very easy to get out if you know how they work. Just push the middle in and pull the whole thing out it takes less than a second a piece, and is very easy to do on the trail to get to the plug and other stuff. THe speedo will only go up to 62 but it will accualy go quite a bit faster. It is the most sport you can get with 4wd. You should drive other utilities and you will find that out in a hurry. If i were you witch im not i would replace those bolts in the plastic with the the rivits and get alittle more comfortable on the machine before you push it to much. The vinson is a great machine that is very capable in the right hands and is an absolute blast when you are comfortable and can push it to the edge of the envolope. Congrats on your new vinson hope you really injoy it.
