Guys, i lost an ebay auction for a rear shock.....I need to get my stocker fixed or find a rear shock and im not sure where or what to do. I took it to my local dealer to be recharged and they sent it back and said it needs to be fixed but they cant do it. I can literelly take my hand and push down on the grab bar and it bounces back like a ball up and down.....

Any suggestions, i dont have a ton of money for this and it seems that the rear shock is expensive!

 

Keep looking on ebay, they pop up all the time.

 

the important thing to find out is if the shaft is pitted. I thought mine was ok but I found out it was not. If you shaft is pitted it will need to be re-chromed and that can cost about $175 on top of the $125 for someone to look at it plus the parts needed to fix it. At that point it probally better to just do an aftermarket shock.

I cant believe that everyone is getting quoted so hig fir a stock rebuil, my local shop will do it for $75, that includes the refill.

$70 is a sweet deal. Those kinda shops are hard to find around here so when you do they get your for cost.
