when you say springs are a little high do you mean pressure or price?your valve springs are a CRUCIAL part of your valve train and cannot be ignored.without the correct spring pressure things will go way wrong.it is best to buy matching springs for your cam profile...period! or atleast same pressure, same rate, same installed height ,etc. in essence same as the one matching the cam.i have a moderate amount of experience with this subject between my old 86 q sport and my street-strip car.if you want to play ,you gotta pay.if you put together a matching system...the results will be very rewarding. im out, good luck!

i had the white bros. fast off road cam.dont remember specs but it was low to mid range type setup.dont even know if they still make it or not, this was about 8-10 years ago.as far as the olds dont know dyno numbers but it puts 330 hp. at the rear wheels. 3450 +220 for me,that was when it was hurt(bad bearings)12.87 @105 mph 1.80 60ft. time, left wheel 2-3 inches off ground.355 sbc. too much gear 4.33,going to 3.89 to make converter work better, mid 12s on the way!im out

stage 1: all around power
stage 2: mid-top power
race: 2stroke power
If you want to do any type of woods riding, I would recomend the stage 1 cam. I made the mistake of going with the stage 2, and had to just rev the crap outta my machine all the time to get anywhere in the twisties. The reason we bought these machines is because they arent blasters. Webcam is the only company I know of that still makes cams and springs for 230's. i would check there.
