lt250r reed cage difference and cylinder?

Default lt250r reed cage difference and cylinder?

Can someone tell me the difference in the reed cage assembly for a 1987 reed cage between the 88 on up are the cylinders the same whats the difference with the reeds or cage?
can i use a cylinder from a 88 on a 87 do i then go to the different cage???

Default lt250r reed cage difference and cylinder?

1987 Quadracers lt 250 and the zilla both had the same reed cage. 1988 on had a smaller type reed cage. I had a 1987 Suzuki quadracer and mounted a 1990 cylinder to it and had no problems. Bike ran great. If you are going to do this you will need 1988 and up reed cage and boot. I know that the zilla added one more head bolt not sure on the lt 250R. you may need to use the different head also.

All cylinders from 87 on were interchangeable. But the 87 cylinder had a bigger intake therefore different reeds/reed cage.
