oh with that octane id never use 87 or 89 octane. id deffinetly use 91 er 93. -nathan

Octane is the grade of pump gas you can buy at most convenent stores for automobiles etc.
You get to choose from 3 different grades 87 89 93.
Octane is a measurement of metametric hydrocorcons,any isomeric saturated hydrocarbon found in petroleum and used as a fuel and solvent .

 

Actually Z's are designed to use low 87 octane, even with the relatively high compression. A quad actually gets the most HP using the lowest octane possible without detonation. Its true that you will get the most power from 87 octane, than if you used 100. Some people say their quads "run better" with higher octane, but in reality it is just compensating for their shotty jetting work, making them think its running better.
