We had the old 160 with the racks. Loved that machine. The new one is 50 lbs. lighter, which has to be a great improvement! Sold ours to a friend, and it is still going strong after many years.
The only problem with this bike is it is an "intermediate" size, in between the kids bikes and the 250's. A lot of kids don't stay in this category very long. My daughter outgrew hers way to fast!

Recon, I agree with you it is a excellent intermidiate bike. We bought a '03 model for our daughters. They are 14,11 and 8, so the bike will be in the family for quite a few yearsMy oldest daughter will soon get my mojave and then DAD can get a new bike

I know most of you will laugh at me, but I still ride a 160. I am 6'2 and a bit over 260. I do still fit on the quad and it still has enough guts to go places. But the real reason I love it is most of the bigger quads are sometimes too darn big to go places. I love using the 160 to go through woods etc because it actually fits between trees and even if you do get stuck it is light enough you can move it around by hand.
