Im new to 2 strokes. I need some help. Im not sure how to mix. (Only experience in mixing is my weedwacker) Give me some tips on how to start the motor up. JUst give me the basic run thru. Give me" Riders Ed " on this lt 250r.thanks appreciate it..One more thing.I need new grips. I have an twist throttle. Do i need an grip specifically for twist throttles?

If it's been sitting for a while, dump out the old fuel. Buy a quality motorcycle 2 stroke oil designed to be premixed and a ratio cup. Mix at ratio recommended by oil manufacturer (probably 32:1 -> 16 oz to 4 gal). Replace spark plug with a NGK B8EGV. The choke is on the left side, lift it up. Turn the gas on and the switch to run. Kick away.

Dirtbikes all use twist throttles so you will find alot more available grips for twisters than for thumbers.
