Brakes on 87 LT250R
Maybe someone can help me. My brakes are not working to good anymore, the other day i was riding and i noticed that i had to pump my front brakes for them to work, if i dont pump them then they just pull right in. Then yesterday my back brakes started doing the same thing. My front master cylinder cap is cracked so i think thats why air is getting in but the back i dont know. I think i need to bleed the brakes. But i dont know how someone help me out.

I would change the brake fluid.
Bleeding brakes:
1: removed res cap
2: get a clean cup and a hose that will fit over the bleeder valve. Pour brake fluid in the cup, attach the hose to the bleeder valve and put the other end of the hose in the cup that has brake fluid.
3:fill up the res with fluid and pump up the brakes. With the leaver still pulled in turn the bleeder screw to releive pressue. Then tighthen the valve and complete the step again till there is no air bubbles coming out in the cup
You will have to contine the pumping step a couple times till the brakes feel tight
On front brakes do one caliper at a time.
Make sure you use the same brake fluid DOT3 is standard. Dont mix with the newer fluid

I had a problem with my back brakes, they would need bled once a month, and then one a week, then they quit. turned out the master cylinder needed rebuilt. parts to rebuild it were like $10-$15 at suzuki dealer and it was very easy to rebuild. only special tool required is snap ring pliers.
