Those washers are known for breaking. Some guys building high horsepower engines have them x-rayed before using them.

If you have that much damage, you should check the bottom end for metal pieces/shavings

do you have to split the cases to do that?

Yes, you do have to split the case(it is a beast). Then you have to get it rewelded. Did you say there was damage on the bottom(skirt) of the piston. If so that is caused from piston slap, meaning your piston was to small and had a lot of room to play.

If you don't think a lot of metal went into the bottom, then some say you can fill it will solvent and shake it upside down to get the shavings out. (I don't know if i'd trust that)

if a piece got down there it would only be a tiny piece of the washer.im missing about 3/16 of it.but i think that piece is shoved into the top of the piston.it looks like it is.the top end was in good cond. too.piston still looked aluminum and there was no gum anywhere even running 20:1..im just gonna do a top end rebuild.the damage on the skirt happened when everything else did.all the markings are very fresh.darn little washer really messed up the piston.how often do you guys change ur tranny oil?
also, do those wristpin washers come with the wiseco prolite piston kit?if now where do it get them?any way to get stronger ones?

i always hear of people talking about mixtures, like 32:1 and so forth, what exactly is that in blind mans terms, how many oz, of oil per gallon of gas, my rm has a 2 gallon tank, and people tell me 3.5oz of oil per gallon, 7 oz total, that seems very little?

i was the guy who had two quadracers do this. you have to take the cases part because both of ours were all garfed up inside. the little washer sure scraped the hell out of the crancase. the one we bought was actually just rebuilt didtn get one tank of gas through it and it blew. the little washers are cheap and moose gasket kits are good. make sure you have your block and head surfaced before putting together also. cylmer manuals suck just spend the 65-80 dollars and buy the suzuki manual. it comes in handy when you want to put the gears back in and you dont remember. any questions ask

Bill
