Any one know how hot the Exhaust canister gets on a Z??????

 

How hot does it need to get? Probably around 200-300 degrees. If it's important to you, buy a temp gun from your local auto store.

 

It is important thats why im askin.just need to no for powder coating reasons.thX

 

HMF powder coats there canisters and I bet they get alot hotter than the stock cannister.

 

I know napa has temp guns for about $80, or they might let you borrow one to take out to the parking lot real quick, so load your quad up, let run in the back of the truck all the way there, and then hit it with the temp gun. But seriously, I doubt it gets over 300, unless your down in Vegas or Pheonix, where it hit that just baking in the sun. And isn't powder coating baked on anyway?

 

you got it, powder coating is Baked on @ a temp of 400 degrees or so?
Just did not want to go to the trouble to get it powder coated & put it on & discolor 1st time its on.
I did not think thay get any were close to that hot. But wanted to ask.
