adjusting chain

Default adjusting chain

how do you adjust the chain on my 1988 suzuki quadsport? I have the clymer repair manual but it
doesn't show the setup i have.

Default adjusting chain

if its the same as on my '89 lt250s you have to loosen the two large bolts that hold the axle carrier to the swingarm and then tighten in the two small (12mm) bolts that are below the axle carrier, if those smaller bolts are all the way in you need to take a link out of the chain. make shure you tighten those smaller bolts evenly then get those larger bolts TIGHT
